at his side all while getting sidetracked by ghost, devil hounds, grim reapers and other supernatural entities
taking place during victorian era london ciel works under the queen under the alias as her “watchdog” solving mysteries and busting criminals all while looking for clues on who was behind his parents tragic end
THE ISSUES OF

this card was made to help avoid most of the triggering content within black butler HOWEVER the creator of the show is still inherently a bad person and because of the reasons below the show has to be consumed CRITICALLY
YANA TOBOSO AND PEDOPHELIA
the creator, yana toboso, is a self proclaimed shotacon and while the show itself is not porn nor soley pedophilic she baity scenes and within the show that catered to her “taste”
because of this, an otherwise good plot went to waste
as a general warning to people attempting to get into black butler, while no porn or sexual acts happen in the series, topics such as trafficking, child abuse, transmisogny , racism, and yaoi bait are present
WHILE I DONOT RECOMMEND THE SHOW TO PEOPLE WHO HAVE NEVER SEEN IT, IF SOMEONE DECIDES TO VIEW THE SHOW, USING THIS CARD AS A GUIDE TO AVOID THE UNSAVORY PARTS WOULD BE BEST

as a csa victim myself I believe a series such as this should be talked about with clear warnings and critical consumption
TRANSMISOGNY IN
BLACK BUTLER
as an tme person I believe it is my and other tme peoples duties to help transfeminine people avoid content and be warned of media that can harm them and as such this portion of the card serves as a warning to the treatment of the character grell sutcliff in black butler
grell sutcliff is a grim reaper that appears in the third episode onward of the series titled “HIS BUTLER, OMNIPOTENT” in this episode grell is introduced in a disguise pretending to be a butler to the character MADAM RED and because of this is referred to as a man and has he / him pronouns used on her.
when she later reveals her true identity as a reaper she uses she / her pronouns, calls herself a girl and a woman but the characters in the show donot use the correct pronouns for her and her
character is often reduced to comic relief
later on in the series yana toboso, the creator of the show states that she did intend for grell to be a trans woman and was being transphobic in her writing and display of grells character
RACISM IN
BLACK BUTLER
when the indian characters PRINCE SOMA and his butler AGNI are introduced to the series in episode 13 “HIS BUTLER, FREELOADER” in the how to view portion of the card I advise skipping this episode as all you need to know about these characters is recapped in the BOOK OF CIRCUS arc later on in the series
to be specific, a majority of the main cast are white as the show is set in england, and in this introduction episode they ask tone deaf questions to these characters and often played oriental music when these characters entered rooms
in addition to the way PRINCE SOMA and AGNI were handled, the characters LAU and RAN MAO are chinese nobles who while are important to the plot, are treated similarly
it should be noted that while yana toboso is asian she is not indian or chinese, she is japanese and her racism is still a problem that should be addressed and discussed
